He holds Real Estate and Insurance Broker licenses in addition to being active in several local civic organizations. Laura Phillips is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of Florida. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and has been in public accounting for over 18 years. In addition to being a CPA, she is also a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA). She is currently the managing partner and is knowledgeable in many areas including not-for-profit audits, employer retirement plan administration, and corporate taxes. Don Pate is an Enrolled Agent (EA) licensed by the Internal Revenue Service and has been in public accounting for over 27 years. In 1998, Donald B. Pate & Associates Inc. merged with Hamilton & Phillips. Mr. Pate is a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents, the Florida Society of Enrolled Agents, and the National Society of Accountants. In addition to his many memberships in local civic organizations, Mr. Pate was named Brandon's Small Business of the Year in 1995 and the Rotary Club's Service Above Self award in 2002.
